Do you have a project serving youth? Please see these Frequently Asked Questions to decide if we’re a match.
- Projects or programs that support children or families in Columbia, Delaware, Greene, and Ulster counties or the towns of Red Hook or Rhinebeck.
- Projects or programs that you otherwise might not have funding to accomplish. Through small, targeted grants, we invest in possibilities – from products and services to special events.
Given our deep experience with grantmaking, we have worked to make the process as quick and simple as possible for applicants. If you feel your program or project is a fit, please proceed in these three easy steps:
-
- Step One: Contact the HVFYH Director who most aligns with your work. When you reach out, please share your idea and a brief introduction to your organization. Our grant cycle opens each January and closes in October – so please plan your outreach accordingly.
- Step Two: The HVFYH Director will review your request, and may ask to discuss it with you. If the Director agrees, they will recommend your program or project to receive a set funding amount.
- Step Three: Once approved, you will receive a link to our simple and brief application form. Typically, grants will be awarded within one month of completion. Please note, all applications must be submitted by our deadline of October 31st.
Applications must be submitted by 5 pm on October 31st.
HVFYH mini-grants generally range between $300 and $2,500.
No. Funding is not intended for regular staff salaries—or other established program expenses. However, stipends or one-time project consultant fees are eligible for funding.
Mini-grant recipients may be asked to complete an Impact Report upon completion of the grant period and attend an annual networking meeting typically held in May.
