The Hudson Valley Foundation for Youth Health, Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit foundation dedicated to helping develop, maintain and expand prevention and early intervention programs for youth in the region – targeting the service areas of Delaware, Ulster, Greene, and Columbia Counties and the Northern Dutchess towns of Red Hook and Rhinebeck.
The Foundation supports programs that address the following concerns:
-
- Parenting
- Family Support
- Alcohol and Substance Abuse
- Basic Health Issues
- Sexuality
-
- Mental & Emotional Health
- Quality Education
- Child Care
- Leisure Activities
- Domestic Violence
Since 1994, over 3 million dollars has been awarded to diverse community organizations that are committed to the development of programs that effect families, children, and communities as a whole in the Hudson Valley. Each year the foundation strives to expand the number of programs funded. The Hudson Valley area is home to about 350,000 people, spread over about 5,000 square miles. This large widespread population, combined with the ever increasing need, leads to many more worthy application for Foundation help than can be financially handled. We are, therefore, seeking partners to help in the mission of ensuring the health of the youth in the Hudson Valley.
